Let’s be honest; it’s easy to dream; unfortunately, making our dreams come true isn’t always easy. It requires work. We have to roll up our sleeves, take action, and follow through.

But where do we begin?

Here are some classic steps that will help make your dreams come true. You might have heard them before, but they’re worth repeating. Read past them, though, there’s a last step that most don’t know and it’s crucial for success.

When God gave Abraham the dream of being “the father of many nations” he attached the dream to something visual by showing him the stars in the sky and telling him, “so shall your offspring be”. This gave Abraham a nightly reminder of the dream God had for him. We can do the same by taking a photo or other image and placing it where it can remind us on a regular basis.

Some dreams can be overwhelming. The thoughts of what needs to happen can cloud our minds and create a sense of impotence in the face of all that needs to be done.

We can solve this problem by breaking our goal into manageable steps. For instance, if your dream is to start a business, then, some of your ‘mini’ goals should be learning how to run a business. One way you can do this is to work for someone who runs a successful business similar to the one you want to have. Too many people look for a job with the biggest paycheck instead of the best opportunity to learn and grow.

Now, the three steps we just went over are important. But, by themselves, they’re not enough. That’s because, if you’re a believer, you’re a target! Satan wants to stop your dreams. He specializes in people who serve God and that means he puts obstacles in the way of our success.

To overcome Satan’s obstacles, you need to take the next crucial step. Here it is: 

Help God with his dreams and he’ll help you with yours.

As we help God with his dreams, he’ll help us with ours! This is just Mathew 6:33 in action.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

The key to success with God is to put his business first. When we do this we are applying the principle of sowing and reaping. When we help God with his business, we are sowing seed. The harvest we reap comes from the greatest source, God. As we apply this foundational truth to our dreams and goals, then, we will see victory every time.
